D is For Dock

It's time again For ABC Wednesday. If you aren't participating in ABC Wednesday, you are missing out on a lot of fun. This week the letter is D. D is for Dock.

There is just something about a dock that make a great photo. Water is always beautiful to photograph, but a dock just adds interest.

This cover of Otis Redding's Dock Of The Bay just gives me the feel of sitting on a dock in Belize without a care in the world.

  1. I really enjoyed your dock photos, Richard. Nice choice for "D."

I shall probably have "Dock of the Bay" running through my mind all day. Could be worse! :)

  3. You know Lisa Ono?! I didn't really think anyone outside of Japan (or maybe Brazil) knew of her. I love her bossa nova, and a CD is in my car player right now. I can't understand a word of portuguese, but I love her voice. It's so soft and relaxing.

Your photos are stunning, as usual. I love the sunrise over San Pedro.

  5. Richie! I LOVE these pictures. SO pretty. Oh my goodness. The sun setting is lovely. Sunsets are my favorite! Did you know at ABC Wednesday when you click on the link you go to your I heart faces entry. Is that on purpose?

  6. You know whats so funny? When I wrote that post I was thinking, Richie isn't going to have anything to say about this because he didn't have anything to say last time I wrote about purses : ) so it's funny that you said that!

  7. Wow what beautiful photos, and you're right the dock does add so much interest and depth to the picture. And what a great song too, classic.

  8. I agree - a dock or jetty extending out over the water adds a huge amount of interest to the view. I love the old weathered ones.

On behalf of ABC Wednesday, thanks for taking part! :)
