N is For Night
It's time again For ABC Wednesday. If you aren't participating in ABC Wednesday, you are missing out on a lot of fun.
The letter this week is "N" Here are some pictures that I have taken at "N"ight.
DADDY WATCHING THE BONFIRE
On a cold winter evening Daddy was watching the last remnants of a bonfire. I took the picture with only the light of the fire. The shutter speed was so slow that it is a bit blurry, but it is still one of my favorite photos.
LATE NIGHT KARAOKE AT RELAY FOR LIFE
At the Polk County Relay For Life, there was Karaoke and Open Mic until the early morning hours. (Relay For Life is an all night event because cancer never sleeps.) I like the way this singer was silhouetted, and shot the picture from behind with natural light.
LAMP AT A TEXAS RANGERS BASEBALL GAME
The lampposts at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington are big baseballs. I just had to take a picture of one as we were leaving the ballpark.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AT GARVIN WOODLAND GARDENS
Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs Arkansas is a beautiful 200 acre botanical garden. It is pretty year round, but during the Christmas holiday season the gardens are decorated with more lights than you could ever imagine. I'm looking forward to visiting again this Christmas season.

It is greatly appreciated.
Bear((( )))
The pictures are amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Richie! And very creative! I particularly like the silhouetted singer. What I've wanted to ask you for some time now is: who is the banner referring to? It says Queen Wilhelmina, but it couldn't be our Queen Wilhelmina, who ruled over the Netherlands from 1896-1948, could it? Just curious!
ReplyDeleteWonderful "N" photos! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your visit to my blog, and your kind comments.
Great N shots! My fav is the first of your little angel! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteI am back again to thank you for the information about Queen Wilhelmina! You can use that for " that's My World"! Queen Wilhelmina was the grand mother of our queen of today, Queen Beatrix.
ReplyDeleteah night is so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots!
Wonderful photographs and I loved the one of the man singing with the green ora about him. Great shot, all of them were.

Mountain Retreat- Canada
Thanks for stopping by at my place - I see you have plenty on the letter N this week :)
ReplyDeleteYou asked about Nerine preparation over at my place. They're a bulb that likes well drained soil that's baked in the summer. So a dry, gravelly hot spot is ideal for them. The neck of the bulb should just be poking through the soil.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteI like the photo of the singer silhoutte and find that photo unique!
Great night shots. Makes me want to try it again--I've never been good at capturing night scenes.
ReplyDeleteThe karaoke singer pic is amazing
ReplyDeleteYour baby is so sweet - just beautiful!
