You Might Be a Country Boy If... Part 2
While going through my Daddy's things after he passed away, I found this handwritten list of things titled You Might Be a Country Boy If
by Bob Lawry
You ever poured water into the master cylinder when you were out of brake fluid
You ever made your girlfriend shift gears because your right arm was occupied
You ever drove home with the park lights when the last headlight went out
You ever used a paper matchbook to gauge the point gap
You ever used a fence post for a jack to change a tire
You ever drove home on the rim when you had a flat tire
You ever used oatmeal for stop leak
You ever pumped up a flat tire with a hand pump

You Might Be a Country Boy If... Part 1
You have used your boot to carry water from the ditch to fill your radiator
You have rocked your car back and forth to pick up the last bit of gas when you are on empty

Faded Name
Faded Nameby Kenny Van OrdenThe pain of goodbyeIs beginning to hurtI haven't allowedMyself to shed a tearThe betrayal and rejectionAre too much to bearI am mourningA love that diedThrough it allGod knows I triedIn time it will beAnother bad dreamA faded nameOn a mental screenMy faded nameWill carry onJust a bad dreamNot realBut very goneMy faded nameMay no longer shineMy faded nameWill die in timeIt takes a lotTo live so aloneTo turn a heartOf gold into stoneWill you remember meWhen I am goneOr just a faded nameYou used too longYou may call my nameBut I won't be thereTo hold your handIn times of despairMy faded nameWill stay with youA discarded loverWho helped you throughI gave you my allAs you needed helpI just couldn't saveYou from yourselfMy faded nameWill carry onJust a bad dreamNot realBut very goneMy faded nameMay no longer shineMy faded nameWill die with timeMy faded nameA ghost from the pastMy faded nameA love that didn't lastMy faded nameJust a bad dreamMy faded nameThat just left the scene
