Nobody's Perfect
by Richard Lawry
by Richard Lawry
We look beneath the surface
For every scar and stain
We measure one another
And call our judgment faith
We see the cracks and brokenness
And miss the good within
Like somehow we have forgotten
We’re all in need of Him
I’ve got a two by four in my own eye
But I’m looking for your tiny speck
As God's mercy keeps reminding me
I haven’t earned it yet
Nobody’s perfect, but grace is
Nobody’s worthy, but He gives
Love doesn’t turn away
When it sees the scars we carry
Nobody’s perfect, but grace is
We point out every failure
Like we’ve never fallen down
We throw our stones so freely
When forgiveness should be found
But Jesus knows our weakness
Every secret, every scar
And still He chose the cross
And loved us as we are
Nobody’s perfect, but grace is
Nobody’s worthy, but He gives
Love doesn’t turn away
When it sees the scars we carry
Nobody’s perfect, but grace is
So let me see the good, Lord
Before I see the flaw
Let me give the mercy
You have given me through all
Let me leave the judging
In the hands where it belongs
And spend the time You give me
Learning how to love
Nobody’s perfect, but grace is
Nobody’s worthy, but He gives
Love doesn’t turn away
When it sees the scars we carry
There’s forgiveness for the broken
There is mercy where we’ve been
Nobody’s perfect
Nobody’s perfect
But grace is
If I’m looking for the faults
I can always condemn
So teach my eyes to look for love
And see the best in them
Nobody’s perfect
But grace is
Nobody's perfct
Nobody's perfect
But grace is
